 We will not make the same mistakes we made with ZERO with RELAY. It starts with a world's first “gas token index”

The gas token index is actually quite a simple concept, but one that we think will be incredibly powerful — and it boils down to five simple points:    

  1. The bridge generates fees
  2. Those fees reward RELAY liquidity providers
  3. Those fees go to yield farms to generate positive protocol revenue
  4. Those fees go to token buybacks and burns, thus making the RELAY token deflationary
  5. High-emission liquidity rewards are a notion of the past — replacing the unsustainable inflationary concept with one that rewards in HT, AVAX, MATIC, ETH, and BNB and is constantly being generated through bridge volume

The Opportunity

The various bridges in the DeFi universe all have different levels of TVLs and traffic — only RELAY will have ONE bridge that connects them all. 

To date, the Zero Bridgehas handled approximately 10,000 crosses and has performed nearly $100,000 in buybacks — that was at a peak TVL of ~$70M and with the ZERO token being the only token being actively and constantly shuttled through the bridge.

With Relay, we have already secured multiple launch partners who have committed to millions in TVL and dozens of pairs mirrored on each side of the bridge.

We will set bridge fees that are affordable and fair while still generating protocol revenue. The opportunity here is immense and Relay will be the first mover in becoming the “go-to” bridge for any token or chain (gas token) looking to provide exposure to their token on multiple chains. The bridge and token become self-sustainable via bridge traffic which creates a self-fulfilling circle. The gas token index creates sizeable buybacks, burns, and rewards without any further RELAY emissions.
