RelayChain bridges from FTM to Moonriver in partnership with Solarbeam — $FTM now bridging to Moonriver with RelayChain and Solarbeam

RelayChain has now enabled its high efficiency bridge from the increasingly popular Fantom network. Users will be able to send the FTM token to other leading smart contract platforms, starting with Solarbeam on Moonriver.

Fantom is a high-performance, scalable, and secure smart-contract platform. It is designed to overcome the limitations of previous generation blockchain platforms. Fantom is permissionless, decentralized, and open-source.

At the end of August 2021, the Fantom Foundation announced a massive incentive program to encourage developers and projects to build on their network. The program has committed 370 million FTM (current value $451,000) to projects to build and increase the total value locked on the platform. The current TVL is over $2 billion. The popularity of the network has exploded since this announcement.

Moonriver is the Moonbeam foundation’s EVM compatible, layer 1 blockchain as a parachain on the Kusama network. So far, Moonriver has been the primary network for bringing Ethereum and EVM chains into the Kusama ecosystem. It has already amassed over $200 million in TVL in just a short period of time.

Solarbeam is the early TVL leader for decentralized exchanges on Moonriver. At their peak, they had reached a TVL of over $125 Million. Daily trading volumes range between $10 and $30 million per day. Impressive numbers for such an early project. Their token, SOLAR, is the most liquid native asset next to MOVR itself. Aside from a clean swapping UI and generous farming rewards, Solarbeam’s roadmap includes a launchpad and an NFT marketplace. Their goal is to provide a comprehensive and convenient one-stop platform for the cryptocurrency community.
